Payments

Currently we accept most major credit/debit cards for payment: Visa, Master Card, and American Express. 

ACH payment also available.

 Payment in full is due at registration. 

A non-refundable fee of $100 applies to each registration. 

You may cancel your reservation up to June 1 and receive a refund (less the non-refundable fee). After June 1, no refunds will be given, except in the case of a medical or COVID-19-related cancellation (doctor’s note required).

Financial Aid

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Financial Aid at this time. If you qualify for DSHS funds, we will do our best to work with your case worker. We can offer custom payment plans to fit your budget for those requiring finacncial assistance. Contact us to discuss options, info@1uprec.org

Transportation

Transportation to/from camp from West Seattle/ White Center is dependent on staff availability and requests from registered families. If you are interested in receiving transportation please email us at info@1uprec.org

After June 1st, written notification of cancellation is required, whenever possible we will allow transfer of a registration to another session.

When we offer cooking/food to participants, we will provide alternative food and drink options for those who have allergies or special diets. Please make sure you include this information in the participants health form. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks, to ensure they have something they like to eat. We will have a variety of options for lunch and snack, and will work with you if you have a picky eater.

Lost & Found

Please label all of your participants belongings with their first and last name. We will contact you if we find your participant(s) leave labeled items behind. All lost & found will remain with the day camp equipment during the summer, you are welcome to stop by during any session to check for your lost items.

Additional Individual Assistance/Needs

Participants who have an IEP or requires one-on-one assistance please contact us before registering. We are not staffed to support campers who are unable to control violent or disruptive behavior, or who need significant help with toileting, bathing, or dressing.

 

Participants may attend with a one-on-one aid that the family provides.

Our Staff

All our staff must undergo extensive training and background checks. Every staff member has a current First Aid/CPR certification.

Check in & out

Your camper is required to be signed in and out by an authorized adult each day. Expect your ID to be checked. 

You will be asked to provide the names and phone numbers of any adults you are authorizing to pick up your camper.

Injury or Illness

In case of illness, camp staff will contact you to pick up your camper, with the expectation that you will pick them up in a timely manner.

Minor injuries will be dealt with onsite, following any parent/guardian directions listed on the medical release form. You will be informed prior to administration of any advanced medical assistance.

In the case of a life-threatening situation, emergency medical services will be notified before parents or guardians.

COVID-19 Policies

Our policy surrounding COVID-19 precautions for day camp will be finalized at the beginning of June. All Staff will either show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test prior to participation.

What to bring each day

  • Change of clothes

We will have masks available for any participant that has cold like symptoms or is sensitive to environmental conditions (such as smoke).

We will be providing lunch, snacks and outdoor cooking, but to ensure your camper always has food they prefer to eat, we ask that you send a snack that they enjoy with your camper every day.

Animal on the Farm

There will be an opportunity for all campers to meet and interact with the various animals on the Farm during each day. Petting and Feeding of the animals is only allowed during supervised sessions. Interacting with the animals is optional, campers who prefer not to interact with an animal with be offered an alternate activity. If your camper has a particular allergy to an animal, an alternate activity will be available. Please note on their Health Form all known allergies.
